Danny Brink-Washington
Assistant Artistic Director- After School Program
Danny grew up in Boston and Minneapolis. His passion for theater began in high school with apprenticeships at the Jungle and Guthrie Theaters. He moved to New York eight years ago to attend New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. After studying acting at the Experimental Theater Wing, Playwrights’ Horizons, and the Moscow Art Theater Danny graduated and began acting off-Broadway in the city. A year and a half later Danny switched gears and took on a job as a Special Education Teacher at Middle School for the Arts in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. He has been there for the past three years, but began missing the theater very much. He is, therefore, very excited to be marrying his passions for performance and education with an organization like City at Peace-New York.
Caley Vickerman
Assistant Artistic Director – Saturday Program
Caley Vickerman grew up in Minneapolis, where she acquired a tremendous love of theater. She continued her study of theater and all other things at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she performed regularly. Her adventures led her to Berlin, where she worked at the U.S. Embassy, traveled about Europe and performed cabaret in German. Returning to the U.S., she recognized that she had a desire to create change in her world, and started teaching through the NYC Teaching Fellows program in the South Bronx. After two years of math teaching, and one year of creating a theater program at her small Bronx high school, Caley is ready to take on her next challenge. She is thrilled to be learning and growing with City at Peace, in her mind the most transformative use of theater for young people, and hopes to find a way to meld her love of theater with her love of education.
